Job Responsibilities:

  • Purpose:
  • Manage and coordinate the operations and systems infrastructure of a small operational unit (circa 60 associates now, up to 90 in the future), through:
  • development and implementation of unit strategy,
  • driving operational activities to meet performance targets
  • recruitment and development of a high performing work force
  • improving the efficiency of the operation by deploying lean operational techniques
  • Responsibility to maintain safe working environment with minimized environmental impact and a quality level, which is commensurate with the safety critical and potentially high-risk rail business.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Participate in developing five year Hoshin plan, in cooperation with the business leadership addressing the voice of the customer and voice of the business This plan resulting in an annual business plan and capital budget.
  • Ensure s operational unit is in compliance with corporate regulations and Russian legislation.
  • Improve Safety & Environmental impact by reducing risk of harm to associates or the environment
  • Effective management of the Operational functions including; Quality, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production Operations, Warehouse Operations, Technology Advancement and Cost Accounting.
  • Participate in monthly reporting of unit performance against defined/ forecasted performance targets. In depth analysis where performance is below expectation, defining root cause and developing corrective actions to bridge the shortfall.
  • Develop sense of a one team culture through effective & timely communication and 100% adherence to Talent Management Process. Recruiting and developing associates to reach their highest potential proving a highly engaged and high performing workforce. Managing associate behaviours through strong leadership and taking fair and firm disciplinary actions against well-defined terms and conditions. Provision of a robust people plan to ensure secession plans and versatility training meets the need of the business.
